Author Guidelines

Jurnal Edu-Sufia, published four times a year published by LPPPM STAI Darul Hikmah Bangkalan, is a peer-reviewed journal focusing on development and research in the field of Transformative Islamic Education. This journal aims to be a forum for academics, researchers, and education practitioners to share knowledge, findings, innovations, and technology in Islamic education related to methods, curriculum, practices, character development, and Islamic education policy.

  1. General Submission Requirements
  • Manuscripts submitted must be originalunpublished, and not under consideration Authors must attach a signed Author’s Statementconfirming the originality and exclusivity of the manuscript.
  • The manuscript must be written in American English (English-US)and contain between 4,000 and 7,000 words, including abstract, tables, figures, and references, excluding appendices.
  • Manuscripts must be written using Cambria, font size 11, with 1.15 spacing.
  • Quotations and passages in local or foreign languages must be translated into English.
  • The submitted manuscript should reflect scientific characteristics, such as reviews on education, social issues, politics, law, religion, and culture, presenting original ideas or summaries of research/survey results that contribute to the advancement of society and science.
  1. Manuscript Structure

Each manuscript should be structured in the following order:

  • Title: Article titles in English must not exceed 15 words, titles must be printed in capital letters in the centre, with a font size of 14 points.
  • Author’s Information: Include full name (without academic titles), institutional affiliation, and email address beneath the title. Maximum 7 authors with at least 2 affiliations.
  • Abstract: Maximum 200 words, briefly explaining the purpose, methodology, results, and conclusions. Avoid citations and abbreviations.
  • Keywords: Up to 5 keywords. Avoid general or plural terms.

  1. Submission Process

Jurnal Edu-Sufia  accepts electronic submissions only through the official OJS system. Authors must register and log in to submit manuscripts.

  1. Citation and Referencing Style

All citations and references must follow the APA 7th Edition style.

  • Use in-text citations(body note) with author’s last name, year, and page number (if needed).
  • All cited works must appear in the reference list, and all entries in the reference list must be cited in the text.
  • Use the Mendeley or Zotero application as a citation manager.
  • Footnotes may be used sparingly to provide additional clarification.
  • References should be arranged in alphabetical order. Entries from journals must include valid DOIor article URLs.
  • Differentiate between U.S. cities and international cities by including state abbreviations for U.S. locations (e.g., Boston, MA).
