Unlike conventional economic systems, which often prioritise materialism and individualism, Islamic economics integrates moral and ethical values, ensuring economic justice and social welfare. The system is built upon two key arguments: first, a theological foundation that emphasises divine guidance in economic activities, and second, an empirical and philosophical perspective that addresses real-world economic challenges. This study examines the philosophical underpinnings of Islamic economics, contrasting it with capitalist and socialist ideologies, which often fail to resolve socio-economic inequalities. By incorporating principles of fairness (ʿadl) and balance (tawāzun), Islamic economics provides an alternative framework that prioritises collective well-being. The study further explores the implications of Islamic economic thought on contemporary financial practices, highlighting its relevance in fostering ethical and sustainable economic growth
2025-03-22T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Sinollah Sinollah, Hasan Bisri, Saed M Adamhttp://jurnal.staidhi.com/index.php/alinsyiroh/article/view/363Optimising Societal Welfare: The Strategic Role of Maqashid Shariah and Maslahah in Contemporary Islamic Economics and Business2025-02-10T03:42:11+00:00Rr. Institutions such as Islamic insurance, sukuk, pawnshops, mortgages, leasing, capital markets, mutual funds, and multi-level marketing have significantly evolved, driven by advancements in modern technology. These changes have transformed economic activities, including e-commerce transactions, digital payment systems, credit financing, international trade, and monetary control instruments. This paper critically examines the strategic role of Maqashid Shariah and Maslahah in shaping contemporary Islamic economics and business practices. By integrating classical Islamic jurisprudence with modern economic challenges, the study explores how Maqashid Shariah serves as a foundational framework for ethical and sustainable economic development. Furthermore, the analysis highlights the dynamic application of Maslahah in ensuring Shariah compliance while addressing the evolving needs of the global financial landscape. The findings underscore the potential of Islamic economic principles to promote inclusive growth, social justice, and long-term societal welfare
2025-03-22T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Rr. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with the Triple Helix model which involves synergy between the government, the community, and academics. Primary data was obtained through interviews with village officials, while secondary data came from the 2024 APBDes realization document and related literature. Data collection techniques include literature studies, documentation, and field research. The results of the study show that the use of Village Funds in Aek Tapa Village has significantly improved the quality of life of the Muslim community. The programs implemented, such as infrastructure development, entrepreneurship training, and empowerment of Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes), have contributed to increasing household income and community participation in economic activities. In addition, the strengthening of Islamic values is also reflected through the construction of informal educational institutions, such as Madrasah Diniyah and TPA, as well as the implementation of religion-based social programs. However, there are several challenges, such as lack of community participation in program planning and limited capacity of village governments in managing funds optimally. To overcome this obstacle, it is necessary to increase community involvement, fund management training for village officials, and develop a better monitoring and evaluation system. However, until now, its production has not been widely developed and is only known from generation to generation. This study was conducted to determine the level of welfare of its producers and the development of businesses based on the halal blue economy. This study used a qualitative methodology. The main data collection used interviews and direct observation. The analysis process used the theory of Miles and Huberman with data collection, reduction, display, verification, and concluding testing of the validity of the data. The results of the study indicate that the welfare of producers is generally achieved through indicators of fulfilling food, clothing, and housing needs, although at the level of fulfilling health and higher education needs, it is still not optimal due to limited infrastructure and public awareness. The development of producer businesses can be seen from the increase in income, quality of life, and the creation of new jobs, but this development has not been fully maximized to support the objectives of developing industrial centers based on the halal blue economy, including the need for assistance in the halal certification of pindang milkfish products
2025-03-22T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Mashudi Mashudi, Dahruji Dahruji, Hakimatul Ubudiyahhttp://jurnal.staidhi.com/index.php/alinsyiroh/article/view/377Entrepreneurial Values in The Management of The Family Kitchen (Purga) At Al-Amien Prenduan Islamic Boarding School2025-02-21T01:23:19+00:00Moh. The jurisdictional competence of Religious Courts in adjudicating such disputes has been a subject of legal debate, given the apparent contradiction between the Consumer Protection Act (Law No. 8 of 1999), which designates General Courts as the competent forum, and the Religious Courts Act (Law No. 3 of 2006), which establishes the exclusive jurisdiction of Religious Courts over Islamic economic matters. This study employs a normative juridical approach, analysing relevant legislation and judicial decisions to clarify the legal position of Religious Courts in resolving consumer protection disputes in Islamic finance. The findings indicate that the Constitutional Court’s ruling affirms the exclusive jurisdiction of Religious Courts over Islamic economic disputes, rendering the provisions of the Consumer Protection Act regarding General Court jurisdiction inapplicable in such cases. However, discrepancies in judicial interpretations and procedural inconsistencies highlight the need for legislative harmonisation and judicial capacity-building. This study concludes that comprehensive legal reform is required to reinforce the authority of Religious Courts in consumer protection matters within the Islamic economic framework
2025-03-22T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Imamul Muttaqin Arisandhi, Majid al-Islam, Bahrul Ulumhttp://jurnal.staidhi.com/index.php/alinsyiroh/article/view/374Beyond Economics: Education and Culture as Key Drivers of Community Participation in Halal Tourism2025-03-11T05:05:19+00:00Moh. Mardimohmardi17@gmail.comUma Chandrasekarumachand@pondiuni.edu.in
This study aims to identify the key determinants influencing community participation in halal tourism development in Puncak Koto Panjang, Pasaman Regency, Indonesia. Given the increasing prominence of halal tourism, understanding socio-economic and cultural factors affecting local engagement is crucial for sustainable development. A quantitative approach was employed, utilizing multiple linear regression analysis in SPSS 25. Data were collected from 383 respondents, consisting of key stakeholders in the tourism sector. The research assessed five independent variables: economic factors, leadership, motivation, education, and socio-cultural aspects. The results indicate that economic (t = 1.830, p < 0.05), education (t = 5.998, p < 0.05), and socio-cultural factors (t = 5.303, p < 0.05) significantly influence the development of halal tourism. However, leadership and motivation factors were found to be statistically insignificant. These findings suggest that financial stability, educational awareness, and cultural preservation play a vital role in fostering sustainable halal tourism. This study provides empirical evidence for policymakers and tourism stakeholders to formulate effective strategies. Encouraging economic growth, enhancing community education, and integrating cultural heritage into tourism initiatives can boost community participation. This research contributes to the existing literature by providing an empirical analysis of community engagement in halal tourism, particularly in an emerging market context. The findings emphasize the significance of socio-economic and cultural dimensions in sustaining halal tourism destinations.
2025-03-22T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Moh. This study explores the challenges and opportunities of Islamic banking in this system by analyzing the legal, regulatory, and economic frameworks that shape its growth. While Islamic banking is supported by Sharia principles, its operational flexibility is often constrained by regulations that align more closely with conventional banking structures. This paper examines the effectiveness of the current legal framework in fostering a level playing field for Islamic banks, evaluates the impact of government policies, and assesses the economic competitiveness of Islamic finance. The findings suggest that regulatory adjustments, increased financial literacy, and stronger institutional support are necessary for Islamic banking to thrive within the dual banking system. The study concludes with recommendations for policymakers to harmonize legal and economic policies to create a more conducive environment for Islamic banking.
2025-03-22T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 A Muhyiddin Khotib, Mohamed A Siddiqi
